An Artistic Universe

Sweet Space, where art and sensoriality merge to create a truly transformative experience. Through this blog post, we will take you on a tour of the different rooms and artists that make Sweet Space a magical place where creativity and imagination come together to offer a unique experience.

Menina

We begin at Sweet Space's entrance with Felipao or Felipe, a Moroccan-born artist who left the corporate world in 2009 to devote himself entirely to art. His most outstanding work, "La Menina Poliédrica", has been recognized at an institutional level and positioned as one of the most influential pop artists today. His unique sculptures fuse art, design and decoration, reflecting a polyhedral vision of the world that captivates the viewer.

Sweet Cosmos

We continue our journey with Inés Valls, a talented artist born in Barcelona, Spain. Her work "Sweet Cosmos" immerses us in a world of magic and light through her 9 colorful moons. Inspired by childhood dreams, Inés invites us to explore her abstract universe full of charm and mystery.

Among Palm Trees

"Entre Palmeras" transports us to a sweet and dreamy universe, where the sky is purple and palm trees hold clouds of sugar and marshmallows. A visually stunning experience that invites us to explore a world of fantasy.

Avatar

With Esther Moya we are immersed in an immersive experience inspired by the world of "Avatar". Her work transports us to a place where we can hear, see and feel nature in all its fullness. With vibrant colors and immersive sounds, Esther invites us to explore a new world full of sensations.

Star Cave

Made by museum founder Alexandrá Uzcátegui and Corina Mayorca, this stellar cave is inspired precisely by space and the colors allude to candy. The main inspiration comes from a very influential Japanese artist in the 60's called Yayoi Kusama, part of the Pop Art and Feminist Art movement.

Pops 'n Bops - Ice Cream Laboratory

At Pops 'n Bops Ice Cream Lab, the sensory experience is combined with the delight of creative flavors. With customized ice cream and fun shapes, Pops 'n Bops invites us to enjoy a sweet and refreshing experience that perfectly complements the atmosphere of Sweet Space.

Enchanted Forest: A Dream Come True

Inspired by the vivid dreams of childhood, "Our Enchanted Forest" transports visitors to a world of fantasy. The trees are adorned with candies of all colors and flavors, while the fruits are chocolate, vanilla and strawberry. This magical place, reminiscent of a candy factory, enchants visitors of all ages with its candy paradise.

Cerquone Projects

Cerquone Projects gallery surprises us with a multi-sensory experience that invites us to explore art in a unique way. From liquid sculptures to site-specific installations, Cerquone Projects immerses us in a world of pleasant sensations and unforgettable experiences. Currently we have Miju Lee with a representation of how candy can brighten up any bad moment: The power of sweet versus bitter.

"How did I get here?" : The second piece by Álvaro Linares in Sweet Space.

Álvaro Linares Cuadrado is a young Spanish Street Art artist and student at IE, with roots in London. At 20 years old, he stands out as a promise in the art world, both in the digital and physical realm. His exponential growth in Street Art since May 2020 has led him to perform two Sunset Art Show's, merging the sunset with art lovers and immersive music to offer a unique experience. His work at the museum, entitled "How did I get here?", seeks to establish a connection between space and life from the pure and free perspective of a child. The choice of purple on the wall represents the fusion of red and blue, leaving the rest of the interpretation open to the public.

Sensory Room: A Space Odyssey Inspired by Verner Panton

The Sensory Room, created by Alexandrá Uzcátegui and Corina Mayorca, is a futuristic and spatial furniture experience that invites visitors to explore all the angles and details of the museum's second floor. Inspired by Danish architect and designer Verner Panton, influential in the 1960s and 1970s, this room pays homage to that period style with a unique and contemporary approach.

Rocket Dream: Exploring the Universe

"Rocket Dream" is one of Alexandra's most outstanding works, which transports visitors to a fantasy universe where imagination becomes reality. Inspired by the iconic Yayoi Kusama, this installation invites visitors to explore a world of moon rocks and infinite dreams.

Astro Galaxy

This installation transports you to a universe of sweets where cosmic inspiration combines with the calm of outer space. Designed to break away from everyday reality, this room invites you to disconnect and let yourself be carried away by fantasy. With the use of lights and a galactic theme, this work of art offers a unique experience that awakens the imagination and feeds the senses.
